Hitchhiking Around the World
My name is Tilo, and welcome to my website. I am on a Mission to Hitchhikeonce around the world. This journey was inspired by my pilgrimage from Germany to Spain, where I discovered the beauty and freedom of traveling with simple means.
I choose this way of travel because it allows me to immerse myself in local cultures and build meaningful connections. My goal is not just to visit places but to truly experience them, like when I lived for two months with the Indigenous Warao people in the jungles of Venezuela, learning their language, their way of life, and exploring their traditions.

My Journey
Since starting my journey in 2023 in Germany, I’ve experienced incredible adventures and challenges, each shaping my story. I worked factory jobs in Berlin while sleeping in a tent, joined an exclusive nightclub in Paris, and taught myself Spanish while living in a rural Spanish village.
I sailed across the Atlantic despite never having sailed before, became known in the island nation of Trinidad, and lived in the jungle of Venezuela with the Indigenous Warao, immersing myself in their culture and way of life.
